Palestine Photo-Marathon makes a difference

May 4, 2016 | The Danish House in Palestine

It is not easy to practise 'street' photography as a young woman in Gaza, but Asmaa is motivated to show the outside world what Gaza looks like through the lens of a Palestinian.

She has always loved photography, but when she participated in Palestine Photo-Marathon in 2013 it was the first time she took pictures for others to see. Since then her photos have been exhibited locally and internationally and published online.

Produced by Lena Odgaard with photos from Asmaa El Khaldi - originally produced for the Facebook page of the Danish House in Palestine.
