Lena Odgaard is an experienced journalist, press advisor and communications consultant with a special focus on migration, forced displacement, human rights and conflict reporting.
She was based in Israel and Palestine from 2011 to 2016 covering the Middle East for a number of international web and broadcast media outlets incl. Al Jazeera English, Al-Monitor.com, RFI, France24, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation etc. The website covers some of her published work.
An MA graduate from Aarhus University/Columbia University (SIPA) with a BA in political science from Aalborg University, Lena Odgaard has specialized in multimedia reporting and covering conflict and politically sensitive areas.
Based in the occupied West Bank from 2011 to 2016, she primarily covered current events in Israel and Palestine but also other areas in the region including Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain.
Lena Odgaard is also an experienced media trainer, project coordinator, communications consultant and press advisor in areas of media development and journalistic social media usage.
